Maison Lumia
Professional Sugaring Training
A two-day hands-on course in organic sugaring technique — for practitioners who want to offer precise, body-friendly hair removal.
Course details
What this training is
This is a practitioner-level course in organic sugaring — taught by Zoë, founder of Maison Lumia. It covers the full method from paste chemistry through to supervised practice on live models, with a focus on technique that is consistent, hygienic, and genuinely effective on all skin types.
The approach we teach is the same approach we use in our studios every day. Nothing simplified. No shortcuts that compromise results or client safety.
Groups are limited to six participants so that every attendee receives real individual attention — not a demonstration watched from a distance.

Who attends
Built for working practitioners
The training is designed for beauty professionals who want to add organic sugaring to their practice. It assumes a working familiarity with client care — not necessarily prior experience with waxing or hair removal.

Zoë — Founder & Lead Practitioner
Zoë trained in sugaring with practitioners across Belgium and Europe before founding Maison Lumia. She spent two years refining the technique, the hygiene protocol, and the client experience before opening the first studio.
The method she teaches is the method she practises daily — developed specifically for sensitive and reactive skin, and held to the same standard in every session. She teaches in English, French, and Dutch.
- —Certified sugaring practitioner — Belgium and international training
- —Specialist in sensitive skin and body-respectful technique
- —Trained in toxin-conscious nail care and natural manicure
- —Founder of Maison Lumia — Brussels and Antwerp
“I teach the same technique I use every day — nothing simplified, nothing adapted down. If it is not good enough for our clients, it is not what I teach.”

Common questions
Before you enrol
Do I need prior experience in beauty therapy?
A background in beauty therapy or a related field is recommended. The course covers technique from the ground up, but familiarity with professional client care will help you get more from the practical sessions.
What is included in the course fee?
All sugar paste, disposables, and materials used during the two days are included. You will receive a printed technique guide, a hygiene protocol reference, and a certificate of completion.
How many participants are in each group?
We limit each session to six participants. This ensures individual attention during supervised practice and sufficient time on each body area.
Will I practise on real clients during the training?
Yes. The second day is dedicated to supervised practice on live models. By the end of the course you will have treated multiple body areas independently.
Is the certificate recognised professionally?
The certificate confirms attendance, practical assessment, and completion of the Maison Lumia training programme. It is not a government-issued qualification, but it demonstrates professional-level competency in organic sugaring technique.
What language is the training taught in?
The training is available in English, French, and Dutch. Please indicate your language preference when booking.
Can I book a follow-up session after completing the course?
Yes. Maison Lumia offers individual follow-up sessions for graduates who want additional supervised practice or technique feedback. Contact us to arrange this.
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothing that allows access to various body areas for practice. All materials, tools, and products are provided.
