Terms of Service
General terms and conditions governing appointments, cancellations, payments, and the use of Maison Lumia's services and website.

1. Scope and Acceptance
These terms govern the relationship between Maison Lumia (the "salon") and any person who books or receives services, visits our studios, or uses this website (the "client").
By booking an appointment or using our website, you accept these terms in full. If you do not accept them, do not book or use our services.
2. Our Services
Maison Lumia provides professional beauty treatments including:
- —Sugaring hair removal (body and face)
- —Natural manicure and nail care
- —Combined packages
Services are available at our studios in Brussels and Antwerp. All treatments are carried out by trained practitioners using professional-grade products.
Service descriptions, pricing, and durations are listed on our website and may be updated at any time. The price and duration in effect at the time of your booking confirmation apply to your appointment.
3. Booking
3.1 How to book
Appointments may be booked:
- —Online via our booking form
- —By email
- —By telephone
A booking is confirmed only when you receive a written confirmation from Maison Lumia. Unconfirmed requests do not constitute a reservation.
3.2 Client information
When booking, you must provide accurate information including your name, contact details, and any relevant skin conditions or contraindications. Providing inaccurate information that affects the safety or outcome of a treatment releases Maison Lumia from liability for resulting issues.
3.3 Minimum age
Clients must be at least 16 years of age to book independently. Clients aged 16–17 require written parental or guardian consent for certain treatments. Please contact us in advance.
4. Cancellation and Rescheduling
We understand that plans change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

| Less than 24 hours before appointment | 50% of the treatment price is charged |
| No-show (no contact made) | 100% of the treatment price is charged |
Cancellations must be made by email or phone. Cancellations made via social media or messaging apps cannot be guaranteed to be received in time.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to circumstances beyond our control (illness, studio closure, force majeure). In such cases, we will contact you as early as possible and offer a full reschedule or refund.
5. Pricing and Payment
All prices include Belgian VAT at the applicable rate. Prices are displayed on our website in euros (EUR).
Payment is due at the time of your appointment unless otherwise agreed. We accept:

- —Debit and credit cards
- —Gift vouchers issued by Maison Lumia
We do not invoice clients retroactively unless this has been agreed in writing in advance.
6. Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. They are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced.
Vouchers may be used towards any service or package at either studio.
7. Health, Safety, and Contraindications
Certain medical conditions, medications, or skin conditions may make some treatments unsuitable or require adaptation. It is your responsibility to:
- —Inform us of any relevant health conditions, medications, or recent treatments before your appointment
- —Follow the preparation and aftercare instructions provided
- —Disclose any changes to your health between appointments
Maison Lumia reserves the right to decline or modify a treatment if, in our professional judgement, proceeding would pose a risk to your health or wellbeing. In such cases, a full refund will be offered where applicable.
We are not responsible for adverse reactions resulting from undisclosed health conditions or contraindications.
8. Conduct in the Studio
We expect all clients to treat our staff and other clients with respect. We reserve the right to refuse service to any client who behaves in a way that is disrespectful, aggressive, or threatening. In such cases, the full treatment price may still be charged.
9. Liability
Maison Lumia's liability is limited to the price paid for the specific treatment in question. We are not liable for:
- —Indirect or consequential loss
- —Loss of income or opportunity
- —Adverse outcomes resulting from undisclosed health information
- —Reactions to products when standard patch testing was declined by the client
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
10. Website Use
This website is provided for informational purposes and to facilitate bookings. You may not:
- —Use it for any unlawful purpose
- —Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website
- —Reproduce or redistribute content without our written permission
The content on this website is provided in good faith but without warranty as to its accuracy or completeness.
11. Privacy
Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood that policy.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your booking applies to that booking. We recommend reviewing this page before each appointment.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by Belgian law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the competent courts of Brussels, unless mandatory consumer protection law requires otherwise.
If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.
